Rooney refuses to rule out Celtic move
Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney may be one of the biggest stars world football at the moment, but he refused to rule out of move to Celtic in the future.
Rooney was asked whether he would ever consider the possibility of joining the Bhoys in the latter stages of his career and he was coy with his response.
“I don’t know,” Rooney said to ESPN. “You’ve seen some great players come here and play, the likes of Roy Keane who I played with, but it’s not something I’d talk about now. I’m focused on England and Manchester United.”
Brown: This is the best any Scot could experience
Scott Brown believes that a chance to beat England in international action will be the best opportunity that he could ask for.
The Celtic midfielder has been frustrated at the ‘arrogance’ of the English players and he wants to teach them a lesson tonight.
“We are brought up with a different mentality in Scotland,” he told the Daily Record. “We are brought up to believe beating England is as good as it gets.
“We’re going into a game against our arch enemy and that’s the best thing any Scot could experience.”
Simonsen: This is huge
Rangers goalkeeper Steve Simonsen says that the club’s game against Hearts this weekend is massive.
The two promotion favourites go head-to-head on Saturday and Simonsen was not playing down the importance of the game ahead of kick-off.
“This is a huge game for us,” he said to the Evening Times. “Hopefully, we can do well against Hearts.”
