Celtic have an offer on the table to sign Rangers target Cho Gue-sung – and it included a 50% sell-on clause on any future sale up to £5.3million.
That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who reports that there are now three offers for Cho to consider in the coming days.
Celtic are one of the teams making their move for Cho, offering €3million (£2.7million) plus a 50% sell-on clause up to €6million (£5.3million).
Another offer has arrived from MLS side Minnesota United, who have offered Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors around €5million (£4.1million) plus 30% of a future sale.
Bundesliga side Mainz have also made a bid, offering around €3million (£2.7million), but with no details about additional clauses.
Romano doesn’t make any mention of an offer from Rangers, despite claims in recent days that the Gers are interested.
The Sun’s Alan Nixon reported on Monday that Rangers were pushing harder than Celtic to sign Cho, but the Bhoys seemingly have an offer on the table – and Rangers don’t.

Who needs Cho Gue-sung more – Celtic or Rangers?
We often see Celtic and Rangers linked with the same players, with agents no doubt seeing an opportunity to try and pit the two rivals against each other.
This instance could be more of the same, using Rangers’ name to try and force Celtic to up their offer, but we’ll take it at face value.
Celtic do need another striker this month if Giorgios Giakoumakis, as expected, leaves the club.
The Greek hitman has been linked with numerous clubs this month and it looks like his time at Parkhead is coming to an end.
Cho makes sense as another physical striker who can offer a different threat to Kyogo Furuhashi in the Celtic attack.
Yet Rangers may actually need Cho a little more than Celtic.
Antonio Colak and Kemar Roofe have endured injury problems of late and Alfredo Morelos is out of contract this summer.
Signing a goalscorer like Cho has to be a priority for Rangers and if they sit idly by and watch him sign for Celtic, more and more questions will be asked of Ross Wilson.
