Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has been keen to attempt to get a deal signed off which includes a permanent clause in Daniel Arzani’s loan.

Daniel Arzani of Australia trains during an Australia Socceroos training session at Stadium Trudovye Rezervy on June 17, 2018 in Kazan, Russia.

Getting a permanent clause inserted into Daniel Arzani’s loan deal could be a great move from Celtic.

Arzani appears to be on the verge of a loan move to Celtic from Manchester City, and Brendan Rodgers has been keen to get a buy clause inserted into the deal.

The Scottish Sun suggest that the Australian international will join Celtic on loan with a view to making the move permanent at the end of the season.

And that could turn out to be a brilliant move from the Bhoys, if Arzani goes on to impress.

Celtic have already seen how frustrating getting a permanent deal agreed with a player who impressed on loan at Parkhead can be.

Patrick Roberts caught the eye during his time in Scotland and although Celtic have tried to bring him back, he has become expensive.

Daniel Arzani of Australia lines up his shot on goal during the International Friendly match between Hungary and Australia at Groupama Arena on June 9, 2018 in Budapest, Hungary.

Arzani is also regarded as a top talent, and his value could rise similarly if he impresses in Glasgow.

But by agreeing a fee now, Celtic have made sure that they can bring Arzani in for the long-term, and that could turn out to be a brilliant transfer decision in future years.
