According to a report in the Daily Mail, Celtic are about to make a second bid for Dundee defender Jack Hendry, but their task of signing him has become much tougher due to their hesitance.

Celtic opened the bidding for Hendry earlier in the month, but their offer was a low one.

Dundee rejected the Bhoys £500,000 bid, as they feel he is worth three times that amount.

Celtic are now set to make an improved bid, as they look to sign the young defender, but they now face much more competition.

The Scottish Sun has suggested that Hendry is now wanted by Premier League sides, with interest mounting in him.

Celtic could now face a tough challenge to land Hendry, but if they can, then it would be an exciting addition.

Hendry looks to have a great amount of potential, and is already a stand out player in the Scottish Premiership, despite only being 22-years-old.

Hendry could be just what Celtic need, as Brendan Rodgers looks to upgrade his defensive options, and Bhoys fans must hope that their second offer proves more fruitful than their first attempt to sign the centre-back.
