Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has suggested that defender Christopher Jullien is finally on his way back towards the first team at Parkhead.
The Bhoys picked up a big win over Aberdeen on Sunday afternoon, heading into the international break with a 2-1 victory.
Postecoglou really needed that result, and he will now be hoping for good news as his players head off with their countries.
This two week break also gives some players a chance to build up fitness before Celtic play again – including Jullien.
Jullien’s long, long absence for Celtic
Snapped up from Toulouse in 2019, Jullien made a superb impact in his first season at Celtic.
The Frenchman quickly became a fan favourite, but he has somewhat become a forgotten man in 2021.
Four central defenders – Carl Starfelt, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Osaza Urhoghide and Liam Scales – have all signed with Jullien out.
You would be forgiven for forgetting that Jullien will end up back in that mix.
Jullien hasn’t played a single game for Celtic since the 30th of December 2020. He also managed just 14 games last season.
Jullien suffered a serious knee injury last term and hasn’t played since.
The initial expectation was three or four months, but more than nine months on, Jullien still hasn’t played for Celtic again.

Postecoglou offers Jullien update
For Celtic fans who love Jullien and can’t wait to see him in action again, there appears to be good news.
Celtic boss Postecoglou has told The Scottish Sun that Jullien is scheduled to start first-team training again after this international break.
That will be his first work on the grass since his big injury, and Postecoglou wants to get his fitness up to get him back on the field.
Gym work may be facing Jullien in the next fortnight, but his long-awaited comeback appears to be drawing closer.
“Chris Jullien will start training with the group after the international break and that’s going to be his first step back, so once he is training with the group it is just a matter of getting his fitness up,” said Postecoglou.
