It is claimed Neil Lennon hopes to make Turnbull one of his first signings as the new, permanent Celtic manager.

Celtic are ‘plotting a £1.2 million move’ for the Motherwell midfielder, David Turnbull, but face competition from Brighton and Hove Albion, according to The Daily Mail.
Turnbull scored 23 goals in 34 games this past campaign to earn the Scottish football writers’ player of the year award, and it is claimed Neil Lennon hopes to make the 19-year-old one of his first signings as the new, permanent Celtic manager.
The newspaper adds that Lennon’s appointment is set to be rubber-stamped on Friday, after he led the Bhoys to Premiership and Scottish Cup success while in interim charge.
But Brighton’s new management team of Graham Potter and Billy Reid have also taken a keen interest in Turnbull, according to The Daily Mail.

And the Premier League side are likely to have the resources requred to trump any Celtic offer, to both club and player.
Turnbull recently signed up until 2021 at Motherwell.
