Craig Gordon: Had hardly anything to do but misjudged a clearing header and was left stranded for the Astana goal. 5/10

Saidy Janko: A willing runner with bags of pace – doesn’t always have the end product to match. 5/10

Mikael Lustig: Was composed at the back and produced several dangerous long balls. 6/10

Eoghan O’Connell: Another impressive showing from the young centre-back. Wasn’t phased by the big occasion. 6/10

Kieran Tierney: A typical energetic display from the full-back. Never stopped running and his endeavour was awarded with a penalty at the end of the first-half. 7/10

Scott Brown: Was a controlling presence in the heart of midfield and kept things simple. 6/10

Callum McGregor: Was involved in most of what was good for Celtic, has quickly become a mainstay. 7/10

Stuart Armstrong: Worked hard but failed to make much of an impact going forward. (Substituted for Kolo Toure on 60 minutes). 5/10

Patrick Roberts: Struggled to get into the game before going off injured (Substituted for Stefan Johansen on 31 minutes). 4/10

James Forrest: Pressed well from the front and threatened in behind but lacked penetration (Substituted for Moussa Dembele on 74 minutes). 6/10

Leigh Griffiths: Took his penalty well and was a constant threat throughout. 7/10

Stefan Johansen: Failed to impose himself on the game after his introduction and looked off the pace. 3/10

Kolo Toure: Showed glimpses of the composure and power he will bring to Celtic at the back. 7/10

Moussa Dembele: Added a different dimension when he came on. Produced an excellent bit of skill to win the second penalty and showed confidence to step up and convert it. 8/10
