Piero Hincapie has agreed a £6.6 million move to Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen after being linked with Celtic and Newcastle United, as reported by Calciomercato.
What a difference a week makes.
After kicking off the Ange Postecoglou reign with a disastrous Champions League exit and an opening-day Premiership defeat at the hands of newly promoted Hearts, Celtic have roared back in style, winning their past two games and scoring ten goals along the way.
The electrifying Liel Abada looks better by the day while Kyogo Furuhashi announced himself brilliantly too, hitting a hat-trick against Dundee on Sunday.
With James McCarthy, Carl Starfelt and 75-cap England veteran Joe Hart also arriving at Celtic Park in the past few weeks, whisper it but things are suddenly looking up on the green side of Glasgow.

That’s not to say Celtic haven’t suffered their fair share of frustration in the transfer window too, of course.
Postecoglou’s number one transfer target, George Baldock, looks set to stay at Sheffield United while a deal for Aurelio Buta hit the buffers.
Ecuador international Hincapie, meanwhile, will be sharing a dressing room with Jeremie Frimpong next season.
Bayer Leverkusen have agreed a £6.6 million deal with Club Atletico Talleres for the 19-year-old central defensive prospect, with Hincapie expected to sign a four-year deal at the German giants.
Newcastle United had also expressed an interest in Hincapie before the teenage sensation enhanced his reputation at this summer’s Copa America (Mundo Deportivo).
But while Celtic Park has been a hub of activity in recent weeks, the same can’t be said of Newcastle. The Magpies are still awaiting their first signing of the summer.
At least the return of Joe Willock from Arsenal will turn some of that frustration into hope.
