Scott Allan is impressing on loan away from Celtic at the moment.

On-loan Celtic midfielder Scott Allan has told The Glasgow Evening Times that he has a future at the top level.

The 26-year-old joined Hibernian on a half-season loan last month after his temporary stint with Dundee during the first half of the campaign ended.

And Allan, who joined Celtc in 2015 under Ronny Deila, was brilliant as Hibs beat Aberdeen this past weekend.

Such a performance has added to the feeling that he might be ready to return to Celtic this summer and impress Brendan Rodgers, whom he hasn’t played under since the Northern Irishman arrived in May 2016.

And going by his latest comments, Allan appears to certainly have the confidence that he could return to Parkhead a much-improved player when his current loan expires.

“I believe so. In terms of creativity, Aberdeen had a guy following me about the park for the first 45 minutes and I still made things happens,” he told The GET when asked if he could perform at a top level in the future.

“That’s my game and I can play it as well as anybody.”

Celtic fans probably haven’t seen the best of Allan, having only managed 12 Premiership appearances for the Hoops during his debut season – and one of those was from the start.

But he seems to be in a rich vein of form and if he believes that he can catch Rodgers’s eye then who’s to say he can’t be a big player for the Scottish champions next term?
