The former Scotland Under-21 international midfielder is scheduled to remain at Hibs until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old former Dundee United star has suggested that he wants to remain at Easter Road for the 2018-19 campaign, although he has admitted that it is not in his hands.
Allan told The Edinburgh Evening News when asked if he would like to stay at Hibernian: “Yes. If we can keep this squad together and everything else goes well it will basically come down to how the Hibs and Celtic hierarchies deal with it, it’s not up to me.
“But I love it here. In my last month at Dundee I was back fit and starting to tick again. But this came up at the time and I was fortunate to get it done.”
Future at Hibernian?
Allan is a very talented midfielder with a lot of potential, but the Scotsman has struggled to make an impact at Celtic since his move back in 2015.
The 26-year-old is playing well for Hibs at the moment, and it would make sense for him to make his loan deal permanent in the summer transfer window.
While Celtic look set to win the Scottish Premiership title this season, Hibernian are challenging for the runners-up spot in the league table.
