Scott Allan played on loan for Hibernian from Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic during the second half of the season.

Allan spent the second half of this season on loan at Hibernian from Scottish Premiership rivals Celtic.
The 26-year-old midfielder played regularly for Neil Lennon’s side, and the former West Bromwich Albion prospect has suggested that he wants to remain at Easter Road.

Allan told The Scottish Sun: “Staying here would be my preferred option. It’s not just down to me – the clubs will need to come to an agreement.
“I’ll need to go back to Celtic for pre-season training and then take it from there. This is a place close to my heart.
“I’m really comfortable here and hopefully we can get something sorted over the summer.”

Permanent Hibernian move?
Allan has struggled to play regularly for Celtic, and it is hard to see the former Scotland Under-21 international midfielder establish himself as a regular for the Glasgow giants’ first team next season.
The former Dundee United midfielder played for Hibernian in 2014-15 before making the move to Celtic.
The 26-year-old scored three goals in 12 starts for Hibernian this season since his loan switch from Celtic in January, according to The Scottish Sun.
It would make sense for Allan to make his loan move from Celtic to Hibernian permanent in the summer transfer window.
