While they beat Rennes in their second game, at home, there is all to play for when they face Celtic this evening.
Midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic says Celtic’s atmosphere could work in Lazio’s favour, citing the lack of one in Cluj as reason for their struggle.
Speaking at a press conference, reported by TMW, Milinkovic-Savic said: “I can’t wait to play tomorrow. We didn’t do well in Cluj, there wasn’t a great atmosphere like it will be tomorrow.
“We’ll try to move forward in the best way.”
The Italian media in the interview talked up Celtic’s stadium as a ‘Champions League atmosphere’, and talisman Milinkovic-Savic seems up for the challenge.
That could work against Celtic and go against them.
They are certainly used to raucous crowds, playing in their own bitter derby with Roma, and appear ready to embrace the challenge.
