Celtic were offered the chance to sign Bodo/Glimt attacker Ola Solbakken last summer, but the Bhoys seemingly had other ideas.
That’s according to the Scottish Daily Express, who claim that Solbakken was presented as a transfer option to Celtic last summer.
It’s worth noting that We Are Celts actually had this story first and The Express are seemingly backing that up.
Ange Postecoglou was looking to rebuild the Celtic squad at the time, but Solbakken’s agent has refused to be drawn on the rumours when speaking to The Express.
Solbakken, 23, predominantly plays as a right-sided winger and cuts inside onto his left foot to cause mayhem.
The Norwegian star scored against Celtic on Thursday night, helping Bodo/Glimt dump the Bhoys out of the Europa Conference League.
Solbakken was a constant threat, taking his Conference League tally to five goals and two assists in just eight appearances.
Celtic seemingly felt that Solbakken wasn’t quite right for them last summer, but could they try again down the line?
Solbakken is out of contract at the end of 2022, meaning he can actually sign a pre-contract agreement this summer.

Celtic have a couple of right-sided wingers in Liel Abada and James Forrest, but Solbakken could be a bargain just too good to pass up
Bodo/Glimt have been a real success story under Kjetil Knutsen and Solbakken could be the latest star to leave as a result.
Jens Petter Hauge moved to AC Milan, Philip Zinckernagel to Watford, Kasper Junker to Urawa Red Diamonds and, more recently, Fredrik Andre Bjorkan to Hertha Berlin and Patrick Berg to Lens.
Solbakken could soon be the next great export from Bodo/Glimt, with Celtic surely thinking about him; maybe hoping their chance hasn’t completely vanished.
