Celtic brought in a striker last summer in Albian Ajeti, but he has yet to really show that he can be a long-term solution for the Bhoys.
With Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths having somewhat unclear futures, the Bhoys may need to head back into the market for another striker this summer.
One recent target was Kasper Junker, with TEAMtalk reporting that Celtic were in the race to sign the Dane alongside a host of English clubs.
Junker had become a star in Norway, smashing 28 goals in just 26 games for Bodo/Glimt having arrived in 2020, emerging as a key part of a superb attack.
Junker had seen Jens Petter Hauge move to AC Milan and Philip Zinckernagel to Watford, and has now got a move of his own – but it isn’t to Celtic, and it isn’t anywhere close to the UK.
Instead, Junker has made a bizarre move to Japan, with his move to Urawa Red Diamonds confirmed earlier today in what appears to be too strange to even be an April Fool’s joke.

Bodo/Glimt have confirmed the move on their official website, claiming that a bid was received on Monday, and they accepted it after months of speculation surrounding Junker’s future.
Junker feels that the move is great for him as a challenge, but Celtic will now have to look elsewhere if they want to sign a striker this summer, with Junker off the table in a major shock move.
