Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has been keen to bring John McGinn to Parkhead all summer.

According to the Scottish Sun, if Celtic offer Scott Allan, they will stand a better chance of landing John McGinn from Hibernian, and that deal is surely a no-brainer.

Celtic have been chasing McGinn for much of the summer so far, but they have been unable to get a deal over the line.

The Bhoys have seen three offers rejected for McGinn, who is valued at £4 million.

But Hibs are said to be keen on Allan, and would be more willing to talk if he was used as a makeweight in any deal.

And Celtic should surely not have any qualms over offering Allan to Hibs, if they want him.

Allan appears to have no future at Celtic, after barely making an impact at Parkhead in recent seasons.

The central midfielder was loaned out to Hibs last term, where he impressed, but he does not appear to have what it takes to make the grade at Celtic.

And if Rodgers is as keen on signing McGinn as it appears, then offering Allan back to Hibs appears to be an easy decision to make.
