Celtic have been offered the chance to sign Newcastle United winger Ryan Fraser amid links to Leeds United this summer.
Ryan Fraser has been offered to Celtic with Newcastle United keen to offload the winger before the transfer deadline.
That is according to the Daily Record, who claim that Fraser has been put to Celtic as a potential signing.
It’s stated that Eddie Howe is keen to move Fraser out of Newcastle this summer and the Magpies are ultimately running out of time.
There are just a couple of weeks of the transfer window left to go and Fraser doesn’t seem to be at all close to moving on.
The attempts to sell Fraser are now ramping up and it’ stated that Celtic have been told a deal won’t be too expensive.
Celtic’s biggest problem will be the wages; Fraser is earning at least £60,000-a-week at Newcastle and still has two years left on his contract.
Teams in England have also been offered the chance to sign Fraser with Newcastle desperate to get the Scot offloaded in the next fortnight.
Leeds United could be one of them; The Sunday Mirror (08/07, p74) suggested that the Whites fancy signing Fraser.
Leeds have lost Jack Harrison to Everton and Wilfried Gnonto could follow, so a winger will be on Daniel Farke’s wish list.
Fraser is available and Leeds may well consider making a move for Fraser this month.

Celtic move seems unlikely for Ryan Fraser
Howe has previously called Fraser an ‘incredible talent’ but he clearly doesn’t have a future under the Newcastle boss.
Fraser started just three Premier League games last season and made only five substitute appearances.
The 29-year-old simply has to leave Newcastle this summer in order to get his career back on track but will Celtic really bite?

The Bhoys have been focusing on signing players with potential having landed the likes of Odin Thiago Holm, Marco Tilio, Yang Hyun-jun, Kwon Hyeok-kyu and Mark Nawrocki.
None of those signings are over 22 and imminent signing Gustaf Lagerbielke is only 23, so Celtic appear to have a clear transfer policy.
Fraser turns 30 in February and whilst Celtic may see him as an instant impact player, it’s hard to see the Bhoys committing big wages to him when they are so focused on younger players.
Fraser certainly has quality and a return to Scotland may appeal, but we would be surprised if a move to Parkhead materialises.
