Celtic could launch a raid on Aberdeen having shown a keen interest in signing striker Bojan Miovski ahead of the January transfer window.

Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski is wanted by Celtic having been scouted in every single domestic game so far this season.

That is according to The Scottish Sun, who claim that Celtic are looking to sign Miovski in January.

Aberdeen took a chance on Miovski in 2022, paying €650,000 (£556,000) to sign him from MTK Budapest.

The North Macedonian has dazzled for the Dons, hitting 29 goals and six assists in 65 games since his move to Pittodrie.

Celtic want Bojan Miovski

The Scottish Sun now claim that Celtic are interested in signing Miovski ahead of the January window.

It’s stated that Celtic have actually scouted Miovski in every domestic game so far this season.

Brendan Rodgers is understood to be a big fan of Miovski and wants to add another striker to his squad.

The Bhoys could lose the likes of Kyogo Furuhashi, Daizen Maeda and Oh Hyeon-gyu with the Asian Cup on the horizon.

Miovski would fit the bill, especially as he already has plenty of experience in Scottish football.

The problem is that Aberdeen want a record fee between two Scottish clubs if they are to sell Miovski.

Celtic’s £4.4million move for Scott Brown way back in 2007 remains the record in that regard, so the Bhoys may be looking at more than £5million to sign Miovski and break the record.

That would be a significant outlay in a January window but Rodgers may believe that Miovski is worth the investment.

Hailed as ‘brilliant’ by Aberdeen teammate Kelle Roos, Miovski is bound to attract interest and the Bhoys will hope to tempt the Dons into a January sale.

That won’t be easy and with Miovski under contract until 2026, Aberdeen will be in a strong position.
