Celtic are nearing a deal to keep teenager Mitchel Frame at the club despite interest from Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
That’s according to the Daily Record, who claim that Frame has indicated he wants to stay at Celtic for the foreseeable future.
An agreement of a new contract is now thought to be close in a major boost for Celtic.
The report claims that Newcastle United, Manchester City and Crystal Palace all want to sign Frame.
Football Scotland have even claimed concrete contract offers from Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Despite so much interest from the Premier League, Frame has now decided that he wants to stay at Celtic instead.
Frame is only 16 but is already being tabbed for a huge future at Celtic, possibly becoming the next Kieran Tierney.
Frame is a left back just like Tierney and is making his way through the Celtic ranks just like Tierney did before leaving for Arsenal in 2019.
The Scottish teenager has clearly done something right to be attracting such major interest at just 16, with Tottenham offering a three-year deal.

Frame seemingly believes his progress will be better served at Celtic rather than in the Premier League, with hopes of breaking into the first team in the coming years.
Last week, Celtic were left gutted amid claims that teenager Ben Doak will be leaving the club for a move to Liverpool.
There has been better news this week though as Frame and midfielder Daniel Kelly both looks set to snub Premier League interest to stay at Celtic.
Having seen the likes of Callum McGregor, James Forrest, Stephen Welsh and Anthony Ralston feature in the Celtic first team, Frame will now be looking to do the same – and no doubt attract more Premier League interest in the process.
