Who is Celtic and Newcastle United target Sean Moore?

Moore was born in Belfast and has been coming up through the Cliftonville ranks in recent years.

The 17-year-old has is predominantly a winger and has played on both flanks during his time in the Cliftonville first-team setup.

Despite his age, Moore has already racked up 22 first-team appearances for Cliftonville and is being backed for a huge future.

In those appearances, Moore has bagged three goals and two assists, which is a decent return for somebody so young.

Moore will have to make a decision on his international future soon enough as he qualifies for both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Cliftonville boss Paddy McLaughlin doesn’t seem too worried about the interest, telling ITV that any teams wanting to bid for him will be wasting their time because he is already a ‘key player’ and won’t be let go.

Rival boss Stuart King of Carrick Rangers has raved about Moore, suggesting that he has ‘massive potential’ and has been a joy to watch.

Newcastle want to add more young talent to their ranks and Moore seems to fit the bill, but they will have to beat Celtic and more to his signature.
