Celtic snapped up Jack Hendry from Dundee on deadline day.

Celtic new boy Jack Hendry has told the club’s official website that he was nervous that his deal wouldn’t go through on deadline day.
The Bhoys had swooped to make three signings before the final day of the transfer window, snapping up Marvin Compper, Lewis Morgan and Charly Musonda as manager Brendan Rodgers plotted more deals on Wednesday.
With the clock ticking on the January transfer window, Celtic swooped to secure two more signings, landing Dundee duo Scott Bain and Jack Hendry.

Bain arrives on loan until the end of the season to offer additional cover in goal after Craig Gordon’s recent injury, whilst teammate Hendry heads to Celtic Park on a four-and-a-half-year deal.
Hendry, 22, was only let go by Wigan Athletic over the summer and joined Dundee, but his impressive displays caught the eye of Celtic boss Rodgers.
The centre back now heads to Glasgow to boost Rodgers’ defensive options, and he will be looking to challenge the likes of Compper, Jozo Simunovic and Dedryck Boyata for first-team football.
After completing his move, Hendry has told the club’s official website that he was delighted to sign for the Bhoys, and can’t wait to get started.

Hendry added that he was ‘a bit nervous’ that the deal wouldn’t get done before the deadline, and he now wants to repay Rodgers’ faith in him after pushing through his last-gasp move.
“It feels brilliant,” said Hendry. “It was a very long day but to finally get it done is great. It’s hard to describe the feeling. To be part of this football club is a very proud moment for me. I’m very relieved that the deal was finally agreed. It was out there for quite a while, so for it to go down to the last day, it was a bit nervous, but I’m really excited to be here now and I can’t wait to get going.”
“I just want to get started and that’s what I’m totally focused on. It’s a bit surreal, although I’ve had a bit of time to think about it, and I just to get to know my team-mates and start playing football. The manager’s just seen a lot in me. He’s recognised what I’m good at and what I can bring to the squad, and hopefully I can repay that faith he’s shown in me. I really appreciate it and I’m looking forward to it,” he added.
