The Hoops wonderkid is one of the most highly rated youth footballers in the country.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon has hinted that Karamoko Dembele could play a part in the Hoops first team before the end of the season.
The 16-year-old midfielder has made a name for himself as one of the most skilled young players in the country in recent years.
Dembele gained widespread media attention in 2016 after making his debut for Celtic’s Under-20s aged 13, playing with and against players who were up to seven age groups above him.
At international level, Dembele has already played at several youth levels for both Scotland and England, even captaining the Three Lions’ Under-16s recently.
“If all things go well you may see him around before the end of the season,” Lennon is quoted by The Scotsman as saying on Thursday.
“I am a big fan of his. I like his style. I would like to get him integrated into the first team squad sooner rather than later but he still has a bit of work to do.”
In June 2017, Dembele signed a youth registration contract to stay at Celtic, while at the end of last year he signed his first professional contract with the Hoops, committing until 2021.
He is expected to take part in the Scottish Youth Cup Final against Rangers at Hampden Park on Thursday evening.
Celtic’s seniors face Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday, before fixtures against Aberdeen and Rangers, then comes a double header against Hearts, in the league and then in the Scottish Cup final on 25 May.
