Celtic fans have already been rocked by Brendan Rodgers exit, but it could get much worse this summer.

The Scottish Sun reported this week that Rodgers could take Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney to Leicester City, if he loses Ben Chilwell.

The 22-year-old Chilwell told Leicestershire Live on Friday that he has no immediate plans on leaving the King Power Stadium.

But a new report from The Daily Mail is worrying from a Hoops perspective.

The Mail has claimed that Manchester City will try and lure Chilwell away from Rodgers this summer, with The Mirror previously reporting in December that he’s worth £50 million to them.

If true, that means the Northern Irish manager could very well try and prise Tierney, the Hoops’ prized asset, from Parkhead.

The 21-year-old, who broke into the Bhoys’ first team under Ronny Deila in 2015, has emerged as one of Europe’s most exciting young left-backs in recent years and those in Glasgow would be devastated to lose him.

The good news is that Celtic will be heavily compensated if they do, with Tierney contracted to the club until 2023.
