Pedro Chirivella reportedly wanted a move to Celtic in the summer, and Brendan Rodgers should have another look in January.

With Celtic not playing their best football right now, it must be alarming for the Hoops’ rivals that they remain nicely poised in the title race in the Scottish Premiership, while they also have a Europa League last 32 tie with Valencia to look forward to in the new year.
Nevertheless, Brendan Rodgers must have some concerns heading into January. A new striker will surely be at the top of his shopping list, but perhaps a new midfielder will also be on his radar.

It would arguably be a surprise if Celtic lost either player next month, let alone both. But they should still look to bolster their options in the middle of the park with a player that reportedly wanted to join the club in the summer.

Chirivella is an extremely talented midfielder and could be a fantastic option for Celtic if Rodgers did decide to make a move next month. And with Liverpool ready to sell him for just £3.5 million in the summer, he could prove to be an absolute bargain if he is allowed to leave for a similar fee during the upcoming window.
Even if Celtic manage to hold onto their linked-away stars, Chirivella is the kind of signing that they should be looking to make as he has the potential to be a key player in their midfield for years to come.
