Should Celtic keep Eboue Kouassi if the Premier League legend wants to sign him?

It looks like Celtic could be bombarded with interest in midfielder Eboue Kouassi shortly. The Ivorian is said to be in demand by a number of Ligue 1 clubs, with Foot Mercato reporting that “several” top-flight French sides are keen on the 20-year-old.
One of those seems to be OGC Nice and, if that’s true, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers should really consider holding on to him.
Rodgers paid £3 million [The Scottish Sun] to sign Kouassi but fast forward 18 months and the youngster has only started nine games for the Scottish giants across all competitions.
It hasn’t gone exactly to plan, so you can see why the Northern Irishman could be tempted to cut his losses, but it might be a big mistake.

Arsenal icon Patrick Vieira is now in charge of OGC Nice and you have to imagine that the legendary Frenchman wouldn’t be interested if Kouassi was not the real deal.
Vieira, during his pomp, was one of the Premier League’s best midfielders, so he knows a thing or two about the position and therefore he must see something in the African ace.
However, it wouldn’t be a very good look for the Celtic boss if he sold Kouassi for a cut-price fee and he then went on to become far more valuable down the line.
So far, it hasn’t worked in Glasgow, but if Vieira wants him then that in itself is a huge sign that Rodgers should dedicate more time to making it work. Selling could be a massive mistake.
