Celtic have been linked with Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe.

Arsenal would consider sending Emile Smith Rowe on loan to Celtic as part of a deal for Kieran Tierney, The Scottish Sun report.

Celtic obviously would not want to sell Kieran Tierney, so they need to convince the Gunners should send them Smith Rowe anyway.

The young attacker is a truly special talent, one who has already played for and scored for Arsenal’s first team.

Smith Rowe would be Celtic’s most exciting addition since Patrick Roberts, who wowed fans with his attacking displays.

The Arsenal youngster is just 18, and has just returned from a loan spell at RB Leipzig.

The willingness on Arsenal’s part to loan him out is obviously there. Celtic must attempt to take advantage.

One of the reasons his RB Leipzig spell did not work so well was because he signed in January. Switching countries is always a tough ask for a young player, especially with no time to prepare.

Celtic should urge Arsenal to send Smith Rowe to the club now, ahead of pre-season, so he can settle and have a full campaign on loan in the Scottish Premiership.

The fact they can potentially offer Champions League football, unlike Arsenal, is a neat way to sway the argument in their favour, that Celtic can be a worthy destination for the young prodigy.

Celtic must not weaken their squad by selling Kieran Tierney if they can help it. But any other way they can get England under-17 World Cup winner Smith Rowe on board would be worth pursuing.
