Tom Rogic is still yet to sign a new contract at Celtic and with Leeds showing interest and the World Cup coming up, that should be a concern.

Celtic are still waiting to see whether Tom Rogic will commit his future to the club by signing a new contract or not, reports the Daily Record.

The Bhoys are keen for Rogic, who is about to enter the final year of his current deal at Parkhead, to extend his stay having become a key figure for Brendan Rodgers’ men.

However, the 25-year-old himself has given no clear indication of where he sees his future lying and has already rejected one offer from the Glasgow outfit last month.

Leeds United are sure to be watching developments closely, as after showing initial interest in Rogic in 2016 the Yorkshire Evening Post speculates that they could still be keen on the attacking midfielder.

World Cup looming

What the Hoops really want to avoid is sending Rogic off to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, where is likely to be part of Australia’s squad, before a new contract has been finalised.

Many players can put themselves in the shop window and get big moves on the back of a successful international tournament and with the Aussie being about to enter the final year of his current deal and therefore probably be available for cheaper, that will make him an even more attractive prospect.
