Celtic have been drawn against CFR Cluj in the Europa League.

Celtic fans would have happily forgotten all about CFR Cluj, but instead, they’ll have to face them again this season.

The Bhoys were dumped out of the Champions League qualifiers by Cluj, as they produced a shock 4-3 win at Parkhead last month to advance into the final qualifying round.

Cluj couldn’t make it any further though, meaning they dropped into the Europa League – and they’ll be facing Celtic again having been drawn in the same group, alongside Lazio and Rennes.

Celtic will be hoping to avoid another disaster against the Romanian outfit, but it means they’ll run into attacker Billel Omrani once again.

Omrani scored twice to knock Celtic out of the Champions League, with the 26-year-old proving to be a thorn in the side of Neil Lennon’s men.

The former Marseille man starred last season with nine goals and 15 assists, whilst he’s already notched eight goals and three assists in 14 games this term.

Omrani may not only want to haunt Celtic again, but may even see it as a chance to change Lennon’s mind about a potential move to Parkhead.

GSP in Romania claimed before the transfer deadline that Celtic were pushing for a £3million move to sign Omrani, having been impressed with his displays against them.

However, Lennon suggested to the Daily Record that there was no move planned for the Frenchman, seemingly settling with the attacking options he has at his disposal.

Omrani will now be able to impress again, and having already dazzled against Celtic once, he’ll have the chance to do it twice more and prove that he’s worth signing after all.
