The Everton midfielder would be a brilliant Tom Rogic replacement at Celtic.

Tomas Rogic of Celtic is seen during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Hibernian and Celtic at Easter Road on April 21, 2018 in Edinburgh, Scotland.

If rumours are believed, Tom Rogic might be leaving Celtic.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Rogic is a target of Premier League duo Southampton and Leicester City.

If he leaves then Celtic will have a big problem, given the Australia international’s class, and should the Hoops look at Everton for a replacement?

James McCarthy looks set to quit the Toffees this summer after falling out of favour under Everton boss Marco Silva.

The Republic of Ireland international, a £13 million signing in 2013 [The Independent], was released by the Bhoys at the age of 14 and later said it was his ‘dream’ to play at Parkhead [The Irish Independent]

The Scotland-born star might not turn his nose up at a return to Glasgow, based on those comments.

If he leaves Everton, which seems very possible this summer, and Rogic leaves Celtic, McCarthy should be definitely on the shortlist of potential replacements.
