The Liverpool defender has suffered a horrid three years in the game.
Liverpool’s Jon Flanagan
Jon Flanagan nearly helped lead Liverpool to Premier League glory in 2013-14.
The defender was brilliant after coming in at left-back for Liverpool and his form even saw him make his England debut and the standby list for the World Cup in Brazil. Even Brazilian legend Cafu spoke highly of his chances of becoming one of the best full-backs in the world.

But the three years since have been tough.
He suffered a series of knee injuries over the next two seasons, missing the entire 2014-15 season. He spent 19 months out of action with the injury problems. In a bid for first-team football he was loaned out to Burnley last summer, but has been a bit-part player at Turf Moor.

This summer he could do with a fresh start and Celtic could be the perfect location. The club need cover at full-back and Flanagan’s ability to play either side will make him a key signing. Brendan Rodgers was the manager who gave him his best football at Liverpool and would surely relish the opportunity to work with him once again at Celtic.
Flanagan would have plenty of chances to play first-team football under the manager who got the best out of him at Anfield. A move to Celtic would not only be good for the Scottish side, but the perfect move to try kickstart Flanagan’s flagging career.
