Celtic are eyeing Liverpool teenager Rhian Brewster, but surely Daniel Sturridge is a better option?

Daniel Sturridge gambled on a move to West Bromwich Albion on loan to save his World Cup dreams only to fall flat on his face.
An injury on his first start put paid to the Liverpool striker’s ambition, and helped further damage his reputation as a reliable Premier League striker.
Sturridge is in need of a fresh start and he should look no further than his former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers at Celtic.

It was under Rodgers that Sturridge enjoyed the best season of his career in 2013/14 where he netted 24 times in 33 games.
It says a lot that in the four seasons since he has scored just 28 goals.
Sturridge’s best start likely lies away from England, with SkySports reporting in January he was interesting Spanish side Sevilla.
Yet there is a lot to be said for him moving north of the border to play for Celtic.

He not only knows Brendan Rodgers, but will get guaranteed Champions League football as well as a strong chance to add to his medal collection.
Celtic are likely going to have to replace Moussa Dembele who could be sold and Sturridge would be a good fit.
His injury history is a clear concern, but with Leigh Griffiths and potentially Odsonne Edouard too, Celtic could manage Sturridge carefully.
The chance to play again for a winning team could reignite his career, and at this point Sturridge needs something different which Celtic could provide.
