Brendan Rodgers was appointed the Celtic manager in the summer following the departure of Ronny Deila.
Celtic midfielder Scott Brown has admitted to The Glasgow Evening Times that last season was frustrating.
The 31-year-old midfielder has stated that training under then manager Ronny Deila was not fun during the 2015-16 campaign.
The former Scotland international, though, is enjoying himself under new boss Brendan Rodgers this season.
“I think it all starts going into training,” Brown told The Glasgow Evening Times. “The training has been great, as have the physios and coaches.
“It wasn’t always like that last year. It didn’t always put a smile on your face when going into training. It was difficult, it was slow, the training itself wasn’t hard enough.
“This season, all the lads are enjoying it, they want to work hard. The gaffer has got the right team in there. He wants us to work hard; we want to work hard for him on and off the park.
“Last season was frustrating, especially at home games when we were grinding out 1-0 results.”
Celtic won the Scottish Premiership title last season, but the Bhoys failed to progress to the group stage of the Champions League.
Under Deila, the Bhoys did not play great football last season, and it was clear that the Norwegian had to go.
The Hoops are going strong under former Liverpool and Swansea City manager Rodgers at the moment.
The Glasgow giants are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment and have also progressed to the group stage of the Champions League.
From Brown’s comments, it seems that it is a happy camp at Celtic, and that the players are enjoying themselves.
Celtic will take on Motherwell at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership after the international break. The Bhoys have picked up 19 points from seven league matches so far this season.
