Celtic midfielder Scott Brown has told The Scottish Sun that he wants to play until he is 40 years of age.
The 31-year-old is one of the best midfielders in the Scottish Premiership and has been in good form for the Bhoys so far this season.
The former Hibernian star has been on the books of Celtic since 2007 and recently retired from international duty with Scotland.
Brown has revealed that he hopes to carry on playing until he is 40 years of age.
“If I could go on and play until I am 40, I would be over the moon,” Brown told The Scottish Sun.
“It wouldn’t matter what league, or what division. I just enjoy being part of a dressing room and doing well. If I am still doing that when I am 35, 36 or 37, I’ll be a lucky man.”
Brown is going strong as ever, and if he remains injury-free, then he can certainly carry on playing for a few more years.
Whether the Scotsman can carry on playing until he is 40 years of age remains to be seen.
Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 19 points from seven matches. Brendan Rodgers’s side are four points clear at the top with a game in hand.
The Glasgow giants have also progressed to the group stage of the Champions League this season.
