Olivier Ntcham says that he will miss Celtic’s match against Dundee, but will be back for the game against Heart of Midlothian.
Ntcham – who joined the Hoops from Manchester City in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £4.5 million – has said that he has a hamstring injury.
The 22-year-old French midfielder, though, has said that he is hopeful of playing against Heart of Midlothian at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
The youngster suffered their injury during Brendan Rodgers’s side’s 3-0 win against Hearts in the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup on Sunday afternoon.
Ntcham told The Scottish Sun on his fitness issue: “I think Wednesday will be too early for me. It’s a hamstring problem. I hope to be fit in time for next weekend.
“I am quite happy with how I have begun this season and I want to come back quickly.”
Blow for Celtic?
Ntcham has established himself as an important player for Celtic, and his injury is a blow for Celtic.
However, with the Hoops in great form at the moment, they should win against Dundee with ease on Wednesday evening.
After all, Dundee are at the foot of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with only three points from 10 matches, and they are unlikely to pose any kind of threat to the Hoops.
