Celtic midfielder names two Premier League stars Moussa Dembele should look at

West Ham United-linked Moussa Dembele should look at Virgil van Dijk and Victor Wanyama, says Scott Brown.

Celtic midfielder Scott Brown has told The Scottish Sun that Moussa Dembele should look up to Virgil van Dijk and Victor Wanyama in regard to his future.

Dembele joined Scottish Premiership giants Celtic in the summer transfer window after leaving English club Fulham at the end of the 2015-16 season.

The France Under-21 international forward has been in brilliant form so far this season, scoring goals for fun, and has been arguably the best signing of the summer transfer window in Scotland.

As stated on Celtic’s official website, the 20-year-old has scored 19 goals in 36 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

Dembele has been linked with a move away from the Glasgow giants in the January transfer window, with The Daily Mail reporting of Premier League club West Ham United’s interest in the youngster.

Celtic midfielder Brown has suggested that the French youngster should remain at the club for now.

The 31-year-old Scotland international has also stated that Dembele should look up to Virgil van Dijk and Victor Wanyama in regard to his future prospects.

Netherlands international defender Van Dijk was on the books of Celtic for two years between 2013 and 2015 before joining Premier League club Southampton for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £13 million.

Defensive midfielder Wanyama played for the Bhoys for two years from 2011 to 2013 before joining Southampton and then moving to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2016.

Van Dijk and Wanyama have established themselves as two of the best players in the Premier League.

“People can go and chance their luck and you never know, Moussa can go down there, do what he’s been doing at Celtic and be in flames and go to a top four club,” Brown told The Scottish Sun.

“Look at Virgil van Dijk, Victor Wanyama. That’s what can happen if you take your chance at the right time.”
