Liam Burt has been hitting the headlines in recent days, with speculation on his future at Celtic rife.
On June 11, The Scottish Sun claimed that Burt is leaving Celtic this summer and is looking for a new club.
The report claimed that Celtic have decided not to take up the option of a second year on his deal, meaning that the 21-year-old midfielder is becoming a free agent.
The Scotland Under-21 international joined Celtic only last summer after being released by their bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers.
The youngster was actually at Celtic as a youth player before he moved to Rangers in 2014.
However, GlasgowLive reported on June 12 that Burt was back at training at Lennoxtown on Saturday, using a post from his Instagram page.
Burt has been active on social media on Twitter, and the Celtic midfielder has made sarcastic replies to messages he has been receiving, as shown below.
Celtic have won the Scottish Premiership title for the past nine seasons, and the Glasgow giants will be determined to make it 10 in a row in 2020-21.
