Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor has showered praise on Kieran Tierney.

Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor has showered praise on his club teammate and compatriot, Kieran Tierney, saying he has been ‘outstanding’ for the Bhoys.
At just 20 years of age, Tierney was given the captaincy for his country, but it didn’t seem too big a job for the highly rated Celtic full back.
He is loved and respected by the fans and certainly by his teammates, and McGregor has nothing but admiration for the left-back.

McGregor believes that Tierney has it in him to be a leader, and that there’s no reason to believe that he can’t keep the armband for years to come.
Tierney repaid the faith shown by Malky Mackay and produced a fine performance, that too playing out of his comfort zone at left centre-back.
McGregor, who made his debut against the Dutch, says that Tierney has carried his good club-form into the international level.

He adds that Tierney is level-headed and is not fazed by captaincy. McGregor notes that Tierney likes to lead by example rather than by being vocal.
“He’s unbelievable,” said McGregor, as quoted by The Scottish Sun. “To be captain of your country as young as he is shows his mentality. He put in another great performance and he seems to be getting better and better.
“He played centre-back but wherever you play him he’s going to give you a good performance. He’s been outstanding for Celtic and carried that on into international football.
“He’s level-headed, not the type who’d be fazed by being captain. He’s one who leads by example rather than shouting at people.”
