The Celtic interim boss is on the brink of a treble treble but Hoops ace McGregor has noticed the Parkhead man is being criticised.

Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor has spoken out in support of Neil Lennon amid criticism of the team’s displays since he took the reins on an interim basis.
The 25-year-old believes the ex-Hoops player had “big shoes to fill” given the previous manager’s untimely departure with the team on a mission to claim a domestic treble treble.
Celtic have already picked up more goalless draws this season under Lennon than they had in the rest of the campaign under Brendan Rodgers.
The ex-Hibernian boss has kept the Bhoys ticking along, with an eighth consecutive Scottish Premiership title little more than a formality now.
Likewise, Celtic have a Scottish Cup final date with Hearts to come next month, but despite this, a number of Parkhead faithful aren’t sure he should take the reins permanently.
McGregor, who is in the running for the PFA Scotland Player of the Year award, is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: “The job he came into was massive. He had big shoes to fill, obviously, with Brendan going and with the club at one of the highest points it has ever been.

“So to come in with that pressure and to make sure the team continued winning, which is exactly what we have done. Although the performances haven’t been top notch, we are still winning, we are still in the hunt for two trophies, so I do think people are underestimating how good a job he has done.”
Up next for Celtic is Saturday’s Scottish Premiership 12:30pm kickoff away at Aberdeen, then the following Sunday sees the Old Firm derby against Rangers at Ibrox, before the league season is wrapped up with a trip to Hearts, their same opponents as in the Scottish Cup final.
