Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers finished second behind Neil Lennon’s Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table this season.

Lennon has stated that there has been a marked improvement in Rangers, and that it was to be expected.
Lennon told The Glasgow Evening Times: “There is no doubt there is a marked improvement in Rangers, but you would expect that.
“We have to try to endeavour to stay that bit further ahead. I think that’s the whole remit.”
Improvement in Rangers
True, Celtic won the Scottish Premiership title yet again this season and completed the domestic treble in Scotland for the third year in a row, but there is no doubt that Rangers have improved this campaign.
Under Rangers manager Steven Gerrard, the Gers have played some good football this season, and under the mid-season winter break, it did look like they were going to push the Hoops all the way in the title race.

Moreover, Rangers progressed to the group stage of the Europa League, and the Gers did do quite well in the competition.
Celtic remain the strongest and the best team in Scotland, but Rangers have shown this season that they can compete with their bitter Old Firm rivals.
