Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers lost against Neil Lennon’s Celtic in the Old Firm derby.

Lennon made the comments following Celtic’s 2-1 win against Rangers at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend.
The loss in the Old Firm derby on Sunday afternoon means that Rangers are now as many as 13 points behind the Hoops in second place in the league standings.
The Bhoys are set to win the Scottish Premiership title for the eighth season in a row, while the Gers are now fighting for the second spot.
Celtic boss Lennon has suggested that Rangers have progressed under Liverpool legend Gerrard, who was appointed in the role in the summer of 2018.
Lennon told The Scottish Sun: “When Rangers came to Hibs at Easter Road in December, I thought they played really well. Then we played them at Ibrox and we got a good point there.
“I mean, they had to improve on last year because they were all over the place. Steven has gone in and added a bit of steel.
“To be fair to Rangers, they played well. You have to give them credit. It was a cracking game of football.”

Defending Scott Brown
Meanwhile, Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer has suggested to The Scottish Sun that Scott Brown did nothing wrong in his celebration after the win against Rangers in the Old Firm derby.
Brown’s celebration in front of the Rangers fans after the win drew a response from Andy Halliday, who was subsequently dismissed.
Ajer told The Scottish Sun: “When you play such a big game and you know how much it means, there is a lot of excitement there.
“It is only natural to celebrate and that is how it should be. You are happy and you celebrate.
“It was the same when we were at Ibrox. I think Rangers enjoyed the result back in December.”
