Celtic have been sensational so far this season on the domestic front.

Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers spoke to the media about the high pressure that managers are currently under in the game, admitting that even he would not be immune from being fired if he won the treble, and failed to back it up with a good start to next season, as quoted by the Scottish Herald.
Celtic are currently in a commanding position in the Scottish Premiership table, with an insurmountable 27 point lead over second placed Aberdeen, and have gone unbeaten throughout the entire season domestically.
Rodgers has introduced a brand of exciting football to the Glasgow giants that has not been seen in quite some time, and the only area where they could improve is in European competition – something that will surely be a priority for Celtic next season.
And the Hoops manager spoke to the media about his side’s season thus far, responding to a question asking if he felt a potential domestic treble would make him immune from the sack, as quoted by the Scottish Herald:
Celtic Manager Brendon Rodgers
“I think where I’m fortunate here is that the board ooze quality, they allow me to get on with my work and improve the football club. Does that take away any pressure I would be under if the team was struggling? No. I had it before at Liverpool. We reached the Champions League for the first time in five or six seasons, got offered a new deal and signed for four years. Then a couple of months later there were cries for me to be out. So it could well happen here. We could have a good season, win a double or treble, go unbeaten, whatever. But the way modern society works there could be a clamour for me to be out by September if things aren’t going well.”
Next up on the agenda for Celtic is the Old Firm derby against bitter rivals Rangers on Sunday, and a win for Rodgers’ side really would put the gloss on what already has been an outstanding campaign.
