Jonny Hayes joined Celtic from Aberdeen in the summer transfer window.

Hayes joined Celtic from Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £1.1 million.
Much was expected of the 30-year-old when he arrived at Celtic Park, but the former Leicester City winger has struggled to play regularly for the Bhoys so far this season.

The performances of the Republic of Ireland international have also left much to be desired.
Rodgers, though, is confident that Hayes will eventually turn on the style for the Glasgow giants.
The former Liverpool and Swansea City manager has also suggested why the ex-Inverness Caledonian Thistle winger is struggling at Celtic, pointing out the fact that Hayes is coming to a team that is already successful and winning trophies.

“It was never going to be easy for him,” Rodgers told The Scottish Sun about Hayes. “It’s just time. He was one of the star players at Aberdeen but when you come into a squad that’s already winning and developing that is never easy.
“But he has settled in well. He understood his role coming here — we’ve a lot of games and he can play a couple of positions.
“He has done fairly well in the games he’s been involved in but I know his expectancy is to become even better and that will happen in time.”
Celtic won against Hibernian in the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup at the weekend and will face Motherwll in the final.
