John Kennedy has warned Rangers that Celtic will ‘certainly be better’ next season as they go for 10 Scottish Premiership titles in a row.
The Hoops were crowned league champions for the ninth year in a row last month.
There’s been no football since March, but Rangers were 13 points behind their Old Firm rivals Celtic at the time the season was suspended.
Neil Lennon’s side were only two points clear at the winter break after losing to the Gers at Parkhead.
But Rangers have struggled in a major way during the second half of the campaign, dropping 13 points in a matter of weeks, while the Bhoys have virtually blown everybody away.
Next season is massive for Celtic and Rangers, given what’s at stake, and Kennedy has warned the Ibrox outfit that they’ll be much better than this past season is a claim that’ll worry the light Blues’ faithful.
He said to The Scottish Sun: “I think for periods in the campaign Rangers did well. But over the course of a season they have not really fully delivered on that.
“We’ll see what next season produces, if they improve again. But one thing’s for sure, we will certainly be better again. We’re the best team in the country and have been for a number of years. We intend to make sure it stays that way.”
