Celtic lead West Ham United and several others in the Hart next club betting.

Joe Hart of West Ham United looks dejected following the Premier League match between Arsenal and West Ham United at Emirates Stadium on April 22, 2018 in London, England.

Bookmaker Sky Bet has opened a market on Joe Hart’s next club and made Celtic favourites to sign the Manchester City goalkeeper once his West Ham United loan spell ends.

Hart will enter the final year of his Manchester City contract this summer and it is unclear whether or not West Ham will attempt to bring him back next season.

According to the bookies, West Ham’s London Stadium (6/1) is only the second most likely destination for England’s former number one, after Celtic Park (3/1).

Celtic’s goalkeeping options currently include Craig Gordon, Dorus de Vries and Scott Bain, although the latter is also facing an uncertain future, with his loan spell coming to an end and English clubs reportedly keen.

Despite his patchy form of late, Hart’s signing would still be something of a coup for Celtic, whose participation in next season’s Champions League could attract the 31-year-old north of the border.

But the Bhoys could face competition if they are indeed interested in Hart, with Crystal Palace (whose manager Roy Hodgson worked with him at international level) and Glasgow Rangers (who could appoint his former teammate Steven Gerrard as boss) listed at 7/1 with Sky Bet.
