Celtic have shown a ‘great interest’ in signing Gorica winger Kristijan Lovric – but Index in Croatia report that they face competition from Hellas Verona.
The latest reports from Croatia suggest that Lovric is one of the most wanted players in Croatian football and may be on the move this summer.
Two clubs really want Lovric, with Celtic and Verona going head to head for his signature – and a concrete offer is expected for him imminently.
Dynamo Kiev wanted Lovric in January but failed to strike a deal, and aren’t about to re-enter the race for the winger.
Celtic have also been linked with another Croatian ace in Mario Vuskovic, but Lovric currently seems like a more likely signing.
The 25-year-old was in sensational form last season, smashing 18 goals and seven assists in 32 games across all competitions.

Lovric predominantly plays down the left flank and has picked up one cap for Croatia.
Celtic have already signed one winger in Liel Abada, and could now pair him up with Lovric in a new front line under Ange Postecoglou.
