Celtic loanee Kundai Benyu is not faring well on loan.

Kundai Benyu was one of the most wanted youngsters in the country in 2017, snubbing Premier League interest to sign with Celtic.
He found it a struggle to break into Brendan Rodgers’ record setting side, and in January he was loaned out to English League One club Oldham Athletic.
It has not gone well. And at the weekend it went from bad to worse.
Benyu began his loan spell by getting chances, starting three games in January.

He was substituted in each of them and has been sat on the bench since.
This past weekend it got worse for Benyu, as he did not even make the bench for Oldham’s surprise 2-0 win over Scunthorpe.
The previous four games Benyu was an unused substitute; this time around his spot on the bench was considered expendable.
It’s difficult to see how the 20-year-old will get a chance to turn his fortunes at Oldham around.
It does not bode well for his Celtic prospects, but a fresh slate will be needed and his testing spell at the Latics will surely motivate him to work harder to kick on and improve.
