Ange Postecoglou isn’t paying attention to Leeds United rumours and believes he is already manager of a ’special football club’ in Celtic.

Leeds chose to axe Jesse Marsch on Monday after a torrid run of form.

The Whites have been linked with a host of candidates but haven’t exactly had much luck in landing any of them.

Rayo Vallecano boss Andoni Iraola seemingly isn’t making the move whilst Carlos Corberan and Arne Slot have committed to West Bromwich Albion and Feyenoord.

Another manager who may now be ruling himself out of contention for the Leeds job is Ange Postecolgou.

Tuttomercatoweb report that Postecoglou is one of the main options to become the next Leeds manager.

That always seemed like an ambitious pursuit and it seems that Postecoglou isn’t all that interested.

Ange Postecoglou eases Celtic fans amid Leeds United interest

You can hardly blame Celtic fans for being interested in the Australian.

Postecolgou has worked wonders since leaving Yokohama F. Marinos for Celtic in the summer of 2021.

The Bhoys have been playing sensational football since Postecoglou’s arrival and clinched the Scottish Premiership title last season.

Another title looks to be on its way to Parkhead and Postecoglou’s outstanding work rebuilding Celtic after the Neil Lennon era has attracted suitors.

Yet for Postecolgou to leave Celtic, it would surely take a staggering offer that he just can’t refuse.

A relegation battle with Leeds just doesn’t seem like the right move for Postecoglou right now and he has eased the fears of Celtic fans.

Postecoglou has told the Daily Record that he is already working for a special club in Celtic, so there is no need to leave right now.

Postecoglou noted that Celtic fans don’t really need a message from him, but he will still do his very best for Celtic moving forward.

“I don’t think the fans need a message from me. What the fans need is for me to keep making sure that our football club is represented in the right way. That’s my responsibility. If you have a player in this position where he’s getting a lot of attention the first thing you say to him is to keep playing well and don’t worry about anything else,” said Postecoglou.

“I’m old enough now to know the game changes very quickly. I’m pretty blessed to be in the position I’m in. I’m working for a special football club and won’t lose sight of that but my main responsibility is making sure I prepare the team well for a game,” he added.
