Celtic are set to sign Jota with the Benfica winger agreeing a four-year contract to make the move to Parkhead this summer.
The Bhoys have been fairly quiet in the transfer market this summer with Benjamin Siegrist the only new face.
Celtic have been focusing on keeping their loan stars and have already snapped up Cameron Carter-Vickers permanently.
The other loanee Celtic have wanted to keep is winger Jota, but that situation has been rumbling on for weeks, even months now.
To the delight of Celtic fans, it looks like the Bhoys have finally secured their man.
Celtic are set to sign Jota
Portuguese newspaper Record claim that Jota will now join Celtic permanently once and for all on a four-year deal.
It’s claimed that Celtic will pay around €7.5million (£6.5million) to keep Jota at Parkhead.
The Portuguese winger joined Celtic on loan back in August 2021 and quickly became a Celtic fan favourite.
Jota racked up 40 appearances for Celtic, recording 13 goals and 14 assists in the famous green and white hoops.

Jota was just perfect for Ange Postecoglou’s setup, hugging the touchline to stretch out defences but having the quality to drift in and provide great end product.
Celtic have been desperate to keep Jota for a while now and who can blame them? He looks set to dominate Scottish football for a while yet.
£6.5million is a decent outlay for Celtic but, based on his first season at Parkhead, that fee is absolutely worth it.
There have been a couple of false dawns in terms of Portuguese reports suggesting that Jota was heading back to Celtic.
This one seems to be the most confident one yet and the hope is that Celtic will soon be able to confirm Jota as a permanent Bhoy until 2026.
