Celtic have sent a message to Henrik Larsson on Twitter after the Hoops legend was appointed as the assistant manager of Barcelona.
Larsson, who was on the books of Celtic from 1997 until 2004 and is regarded as one of the best players of all time for the Hoops, has been appointed as the assistant manager to Ronald Koeman on a two-year contract.
Koeman has been appointed as the new boss of Spanish and European giants Barcelona.
Larsson played for Barca from 2004 until 2006, and Celtic have congratulated him on Twitter on his new role.
Big job ahead
While Koeman will be the main guy at Barcelona now, Larsson will also have a big role to play for the Catalan giants.
The Blaugrana have just finished a very disappointing season in which they lost the La Liga title to bitter rivals Real Madrid and were also hammered by Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
It is going to be quite a rebuilding job at Barcelona, and Larsson will have to play a big role in that.
