No one can question the fact that Ange Postecoglou has always brought an entertaining brand of football wherever he has been.
He led Celtic to a Treble in his final season, and was responsible for helping them rebuild after Steven Gerrard’s Rangers had won the league title in 2020/21.
Postecoglou will always have that place in Celtic fans’ hearts for what he accomplished, but things have not gone so smoothly since he left the club in 2023.
While he did deliver a Europa League title to Tottenham last season, they still finished 17th in the league, and it was not long before he was sacked. His start at Nottingham Forest has not been smooth either.
Ange Postecoglou under pressure from Nottingham Forest fans

Chris Sutton has regularly stood by Postecoglou in the media, and he has again spoken up for the former Celtic boss, who has been taking plenty of criticism at Forest recently.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s departure was not performance-related. He was let go after a falling out with owner Evangelos Marinakis.
That split seems to have created a tense atmosphere around the City Ground. Since taking over in September, Postecoglou is still looking for his first win and recently lost at home in the Europa League.
After FC Midtjylland put away their third goal to seal the result last Thursday, some fans were chanting “you are getting sacked in the morning.”
Chris Sutton surprised by Forest fans’ reaction to Ange Postecoglou
Despite just seven games in charge, Postecoglou is already feeling the heat from some supporters. Sutton, though, is not sure what the complaints are about.
The former striker spoke on BBC Radio 5 Live, where he said he could not remember a manager being turned on so quickly.

“You are talking about the (Nottingham Forest’s) players’ love for Nuno, the fans’ love for Nuno.
“But it was the owner’s decision to part ways with Nuno, essentially. Ange has come in. The owner is clearly an ambitious guy. He wants the club to do well and is desperate to do well. He has put a lot of money into the club, in terms of transfers, but that’s his call.
“I find this Nottingham Forest situation really bizarre. I can’t remember, and I have been racking my brains. Thursday night, listening to the Forest fans. I have never heard anything like that in such a short space of time.
“When that happens, and the fans are so against the manager early on. It doesn’t bode well. It really doesn’t bode well. I feel for Ange Postecoglou. Managers need time, as we all know. Football is becoming so short-term.”
