The Celtic midfielder admitted to being compared to the one-time Rangers man by his own fans.

Celtic skipper Scott Brown spoke to reporters after scoring a wonder strike during his side’s 5-0 win over St Johnstone in the Scottish FA Cup yesterday, sharing what inspired him to have a go from such a long way out, and it might come as a surprise to Hoops fans, as quoted by the Scotsman.
Brown, 33, has been a superb asset for Celtic, since moving to Parkhead from Hibernian for £4.4 million in 2007, but scoring goals has never been the hard-man’s forte.
The Scotland international didn’t just score yesterday, but he hammered home and absolute wonder goal, and he told reporters how he is often compared to Rangers flop Filip Sebo by his own fans, as quoted by the Scotsman:
“I don’t think the fans want me to shoot most of the time — I usually get the ‘Sebo’ shout seconds after I hit them. They don’t come around that often. I struck it sweet and I’ve managed to hit the target.”

Sebo joined Rangers in the summer of 2006, and became well renowned for his ridiculous attempts to score from distance.
Whilst Brown is on another level to the Slovakian, the comparisons with the former Rangers man have been fair, considering the Scotland international’s scoring record from distance.
And following yesterday’s screamer, the 33-year-old might just be tempted to attempt a few more shots from outside the box for Celtic now.
